How to find good alternative music

There are many ways to discover new music. The current method that I use is Spotify, because I use Spotify for all my music needs.
What you can do on Spotify, is go to the Radio, and you can chose a genre of music like "Hardcore" or "Heavy Metal" are both good. Or you can also start a radio based on a certain band. So you can find new bands related to that band.
Pandora works the same way, though I prefer Spotify any day. On Pandora, you can't skip songs, and it's just lame.

I have also used Spotify's "related artists" feature. You go to any band's profile on Spotify, and there will be button to see related artists. I discover most of my new music this way.

In the past, I have discovered TONS of music from the radio. That was the way that I became acquainted with alternative music in the first place. Just find any classic or new rock channel in your area, and you're set.

That's pretty much all I have to say about finding new music. That's how I do it.

Hated Music That I like

To be completely honest, there are few artists that I truly hate.
There definitely are some that I dislike.
And there surely are songs I hate.
But when it comes to hating music, I always have a hard time knowing what I hate, because, it's MUSIC, you know?
To me, music is a part of my life, and right away, I don't think of music I hate, because I don't listen to that stuff.

As for genres there is one genre I absolutely cannot stand.
And that is country.
It's literally all people listen to in my town, and it is just so stupid to me.
I just do not like it at all.

Another genre that at times I hate is rap. I listen to rap every now and then, but there's a lot of rap that I really hate.
Most rap I don't really like, but in particular, the ones that truly despise are things like 50 Cent, Macklemore, Lil Wayne, and Drake.
It just sounds so stupid to me, I wonder why people would actually listen to it??

The pop artists that I actually can stand/like include:
Justin Timberlake
Daft Punk
Avril Lavigne
Imagine Dragons
Bruno Mars
Black Eyed Peas/will.i.am
Ke$ha
No Doubt
Alanis Morissette
U2
Britney Spears
N Sync
The Killers
Kings Of Leon
David Guetta
Katy Perry
Lady Gaga
Snoop Dogg
Muse
Bon Iver
John Mayer
Deadmau5
Skrillex

Pretty much all the others I cannot stand at all. The pop music today is just such crap it's sad. Why can't we have music like the 80s?
That's why I love hardcore music, because there's nothing good in pop today.

What's On My Personal Playlist?

Many of my friends say that I have the best music taste, and are always trying to take my iPod.
So, I thought I'd make a post about what music is on my playlist at the moment.

But, another thing is, my main playlist changes every few weeks. I like to change it up and listen to new music.
So bear in mind that a lot of bands I like/songs might not be on this playlist, but that is only because I've probably listened to them a lot and don't want to burn out on them.

So, without further adieu, I am going to go through my playlist, and tell you EVERYTHING that's on it.
Enjoy!
Note: I am listing the songs of a band with ONE of the album covers. Some of the songs may not be on this album. I KNOW THIS. I'm not dumb.

Well, that's all I'm going to do today. Again, this is nowhere near all the music I listen to. This is just what's on my playlist at the moment. Currently, I am trying to listen to more post-hardcore and what I would call "indie" such as Pierce The Veil, Tonight Alive, And Nevershoutnever. I literally NEVER listn to stuff like that, so I've been wanting to for a while.
